Job summary

SnapLogic is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Platform team. The role is hybrid and based at our San Mateo, CA HQ, with two in-office days per week. You will design, build, and operate core services and the data layer that power our agentic integration platform.

You will own features end-to-end from design to production, improve reliability and performance, and work across services, data layers, and tooling. Strong Java/Python skills and experience with distributed systems are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production backend systems.
• Strong programming fundamentals, ideally in Java or Python.
• Experience operating distributed systems in production.
• Track record of taking features from design to production and owning them after launch.
• Solid grasp of databases (relational or NoSQL): query performance and indexing.
• Excellent design, code, and written communication skills.
• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate services and infrastructure that make up SnapLogic's control plane.
• Take end-to-end ownership: from design through production rollout and monitoring.
• Improve platform reliability, performance, and scalability across services, data layer, and dependencies.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, then turn the fix into durable improvements.
• Contribute to data-layer work: query and index tuning, schema/access pattern reviews, shard operations.
• Partner with Platform engineers, SRE, and app teams to maintain zero-downtime SLA.
• Raise the bar on engineering quality: code review and mentoring.
