SnapLogic Inc. is seeking a Director of Platform Engineering in a hybrid role based at our San Mateo, CA HQ. You will own the control plane, data layer, and operational tooling, while leading a high‑performing team to deliver reliable, scalable cloud SaaS/PaaS platforms.

This hands‑on leadership role emphasizes architecture, SRE, and AI‑driven productivity across the engineering org. You will drive the roadmap balancing commitments, tech debt, and innovation, with close customer collaboration

Formación

• 10+ years building and operating production backend systems (enterprise SaaS/PaaS).
• 5+ years leading and managing engineering teams, including on‑shore and off‑shore teams.
• Strong programming fundamentals in Java and/or Python, with ability to learn new stacks.
• Deep experience operating distributed systems in production, including debugging and capacity planning.
• Track record of taking systems from design through production rollout and owning them after launch.
• Solid grasp of relational or NoSQL databases, indexing and schema design trade‑offs.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, HTTP, caching, and observability.
• Experience being accountable for an availability SLA on a customer‑facing platform.
• Hands‑on experience running Kubernetes in production at scale (e.g., EKS).
• Experience with GitOps delivery (ArgoCD) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Own the platform that services SnapLogic's control plane, setting architecture for reliability, performance, and scale.
• Lead engineering teams, own hiring, forecasting, budget and career growth initiatives.
• Drive reliability, SRE processes, incident response, and production support accountability.
• Guide Cloud‑Native infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, and policy enforcement.
• Own data layer strategy, including MongoDB footprint, sharding, and capacity planning.
• Champion AI across the SDLC to boost developer productivity and product quality.
• Collaborate with application teams, SRE, support, and leadership to align platform health.
