Jobgether is listing a senior Director, Developer Platform Engineering opportunity based in the United States. You will shape the strategy, tooling, and practices for a unified platform enabling hundreds of engineers to deliver software faster and more reliably.

You will lead modernization of CI/CD, testing infrastructure, local development, and self-service capabilities, while driving adoption of AI-powered tools and measurable improvements in productivity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with platform leadership.
• 5+ years managing managers in large-scale orgs.
• Proven track record defining platform strategies for hundreds of engineers.
• Deep CI/CD, DevOps, developer experience, and productivity expertise.
• Experience leading large-scale engineering transformations and modernization.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence.
• Hands-on cloud-native knowledge across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins; GitOps tools like ArgoCD/Flux.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute long-term strategy and roadmap for a unified Developer Platform.
• Own end-to-end developer experience from local development to production.
• Modernize CI/CD platforms and establish scalable delivery pipelines (GitOps, canary/blue-green).
• Establish scalable testing strategies for unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.
• Lead adoption of AI-powered engineering tools and responsible-use practices.
• Develop self-service platform capabilities to accelerate delivery and reduce toil.
• Establish developer productivity and platform health KPIs and dashboards.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, SRE, Architecture to align priorities.
• Lead large-scale engineering transformation balancing modernization with reliability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing Developer Platform org; mentor leaders.
• Communicate priorities and impact to executives and cross-functional teams.
• Drive first-year priorities for unified platform strategy and AI-enabled capabilities.
