Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer, DevOps to lead the infrastructure enabling reliable software delivery across complex edge environments. You will own automated testing infrastructure for remotely accessible hardware and drive CI/CD and platform reliability from ambiguity to production.

You will join a small, fully remote team in the United States, with autonomy and strong emphasis on engineering judgment, collaboration with product engineering and QA, and high-impact

Qualifications

• Senior- or Staff-level impact designing, building, and owning software systems.
• Strong software development skills in at least one production language and ability to work across stacks.
• Experience with Linux, containers, networking, and software delivery pipelines.
• Practical experience with automated testing at unit/integration/system level.
• Navigate ambiguous problems and deliver meaningful outcomes with limited oversight.
• Strong collaboration across engineering and QA teams.
• Ownership and accountability in fast-moving environments.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing, remote device fleet orchestration, edge/embedded systems, or large-scale distributed systems is a plus.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate production-quality infrastructure with end-to-end ownership.
• Build and expand automated testing infrastructure for edge hardware deployments.
• Make automated tests reproducible, reliable, observable, and diagnosable.
• Enable product engineering and QA to contribute tests while maintaining platform ownership.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, release systems, deployment automation, and tooling.
• Lead major initiatives from ambiguity to production operation.
• Write production software and automation to improve velocity and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering to identify infrastructure needs and improve productivity.
• Foster strong engineering practices and accountability.
• Support infrastructure for software in complex, distributed/edge environments.
