Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems or production infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with batch/streaming data systems (Kafka, Spark).
• Strong Python and SQL production-grade skills.
• Cloud-native infrastructure on AWS or GCP; IaC and containers.

Responsibilities

• Translate business opportunities into scalable data/AI solutions from exploration to production.
• Design, build, and operate batch and real-time data pipelines for reporting, ML, and personalization.
• Evolve data/ML platform architecture across orchestration, storage, compute, and access.
• Establish data quality, testing, lineage, privacy, and recoverability practices.
• Develop reusable tools and self-service workflows for teams.
• Maintain observability, incident response, and cost management across data systems.
• Lead architectural decisions and mentor engineers across teams.
• Advance modern AI workflows including embeddings, vector retrieval, and LLM evaluation.
• Mentor through design reviews and on-call participation.
• Participate in on-call rotation for reliability.
