Job summary

Raft is seeking a Platform Engineer with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance to automate and orchestrate critical infrastructure in a San Diego, CA based role. You will develop IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps workflows for Kubernetes platforms, collaborating with security and software teams on secure, scalable deployments.

You will help automate deployment pipelines, improve platform resilience, and support CI/CD tooling while ensuring governance across environments.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance required.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain SCI access.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 10+ years of experience or Master’s with 5+ years, or 15+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum five years of automation development with Ansible.
• Experience building IaC and configuration management solutions.
• Experience supporting Kubernetes-based environments and containerized apps.
• Experience with GitOps and Git-based workflows.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD or similar).
• Experience with Helm, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IaC and automation using Ansible and GitOps, declarative config management.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support enterprise platform deployments.
• Automate deployment of Kubernetes-based apps and platform services.
• Assist onboarding of applications via automated deployment pipelines across environments.
• Develop GitOps workflows for application lifecycle and platform deployments.
• Improve governance for application promotion across environments.
• Identify and automate improvements to DevSecOps workflows for reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with vendors and dev teams to integrate new apps.
