Job summary

Raft, a U.S.-based defense tech company, seeks a Platform Engineer in San Diego to automate and orchestrate critical infrastructure. This role requires active Top Secret/SCI clearance and hands-on work with Kubernetes, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines.

Based onsite in San Diego, you will develop IaC, automate deployments, and collaborate across Cybersecurity, Software Development, and Operations to ensure secure, repeatable platform deployments for national-security projects.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 5+ years automating infrastructure with Ansible and IaC.
• Experience supporting Kubernetes-based environments and containerized apps.
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows and Git-based development.
• Proficient in building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD or similar).
• Strong systems engineering and SDLC understanding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IaC and automation using Ansible and declarative config management.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for enterprise platform deployments.
• Automate deployment and validation of Kubernetes-based apps and services.
• Support onboarding across development, staging, and production environments.
• Implement and optimize GitOps workflows for lifecycle management.
