Job summary

Raft, a U.S.-based defense-tech company, seeks a Senior Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to automate and orchestrate critical infrastructure. Based in San Diego, CA, you will lead the deployment, management, and optimization of systems using modern automation, container orchestration, and open-source tools.

You will develop enterprise platform releases, manage artifacts, ensure supply chain integrity, and support RMF authorization with thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI access eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s with relevant experience (or 15 years without a degree).
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
• Experience with Kubernetes-based environments and containerized apps.
• Strong CM, release engineering, SBOMs, and version control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop, package, validate, and maintain versioned enterprise platform releases.
• Manage release artifacts including automation content, Kubernetes deployments, Helm charts, container images, RPMs, and SBOMs.
• Maintain baselines, ensure traceability and reproducibility of components.
• Coordinate vulnerability scanning and POA&M tracking.
• Develop release docs and automate release workflows with GitLab CI/CD.
