Job summary

Capital Group seeks a Platform Engineer Lead to shape the cloud ecosystem and drive automation across the enterprise. You’ll own tooling, platform products, and provisioning patterns, partnering with senior leadership to deliver scalable, reliable infrastructure.

You are the senior individual contributor, guiding engineering teams, embedding FinOps, security, and governance, and steering Day 2 operations while mentoring the next generation of engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least 10 years in Infrastructure Automation and/or Platform Engineering.
• 8+ years leading design, implementation and governance of large-scale cloud platforms.
• Strong software background with GoLang and production-grade services.
• 6+ years expert-level Terraform/OpenTofu/CDK and integrations.
• Experience with self-service platform products and Day 2 operations.
• Breadth across Linux, cloud networking, Kubernetes, IAM, TLS/KMS, OAuth/SAML.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Bash; CI/CD automation; Agile/SCRUM.

Responsibilities

• Own automation, tooling, and internal platform products for scalable cloud delivery.
• Design backbone of Capital Group’s cloud ecosystem and provisioning patterns.
• Mentor senior engineers and define enterprise-wide platform standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to evolve platform products and governance.
