Job summary

CareDevi Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer III to help build and scale our core platform.

This product-focused role challenges you to own features from design through deployment while collaborating with product and design partners in a production environment. You will design and maintain scalable backend and frontend systems, work on cloud-native apps in AWS, and balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js/React or Python for APIs and services.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS (ECS/Lambda, RDS/DynamoDB, S3).
• Solid API design, data modeling, and distributed systems knowledge.
• Product-oriented mindset with ability to understand user problems and design solutions.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product and design teams.
• Excellent communication and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend and frontend systems.
• Own features end-to-end, from design to deployment and improvement.
• Partner with product managers and designers to translate needs into solutions.
• Tradeoffs between speed, quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Contribute to system architecture, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Improve reliability, performance, and security across the platform.
• Work with healthcare data, following privacy and security best practices.
