Job summary

Raytheon Massachusetts seeks a Platform Engineer II to design, optimize, and maintain the platform underpinning radar and C2 software for defense programs. You will build secure, automated CI/CD pipelines, promote DevSecOps, and collaborate with software, systems, and test teams to deliver reliable platform services.

The role is onsite in Woburn, MA or Tewksbury, MA with emphasis on high availability, performance, and scalable infrastructure to meet mission needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Linux platform engineering and administration.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible and virtualization tools.
• Scripting/automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and secure build/deployment architectures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain platform architecture and modernization strategies.
• Develop and manage tools/frameworks for secure, automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with software, systems, and test teams for seamless integration.
• Support performance, reliability, and scalability of defense platforms.
• Implement secure computing environments following cybersecurity standards.
• Assist in system-level integration, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Advance platform automation and monitoring with Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes.
• Participate in Agile Scrum/Kanban planning and technical execution.
