Job summary

Raytheon in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong COTS computing and networking background to join our Hardware and Infrastructure team building next-generation radar solutions.

You will design COTS hardware infrastructures, evaluate servers, storage, and interfaces, and configure BIOS and operating systems. This is an onsite role, with travel as needed, offering exposure to security-clearance programs and mission-focused engineering.

Qualifications

• BS in EE or STEM with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Proven ability to design and implement COTS hardware infrastructure.
• Experience taking a system concept to a complete hardware design.
• Ability to perform design verification through tests.

Responsibilities

• Design COTS hardware infrastructure systems (X86-based processors).
• Research and select servers, workstations, add-in interface cards, storage devices, and other COTS hardware.
• Engineer BIOS and operating system configuration definitions.
• Work in a lab environment with oscilloscopes, processor bus analyzers, emulators, and data capture tools.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering disciplines, supply chain, suppliers, field engineering, on-site installation and customers to develop and deliver safety critical systems.
• Support occasional domestic travel and potential international travel.
