Job summary

Docusign is seeking a Software Engineer to build and scale a cutting-edge developer platform within its IAM ecosystem. You will lead medium-to-large initiatives, guide architecture decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust backend services.

You’ll work on secure systems, participate in on-call rotations, and help evolve API-driven, cloud-native solutions across distributed services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics, or equivalent.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience working with C#, Node.js, Java, or other modern programming languages.
• Experience building cloud-native services using REST APIs, microservice-based architectures.
• Experience with the entire software development lifecycle, including version control (git), CICD pipelines, testing, and regional cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize secure and scalable systems, including queueing architectures, NoSQL, and SQL storage systems, to handle the diverse needs of the ecosystem
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and high performance within the engineering team
• Create secure, efficient backend services and agents in Javascript or other object-oriented programming languages
• Develop and maintain feedback loops for your AI Agents
• Work directly with customers and internal teams to understand needs and iterate quickly
• Adapt quickly to new technologies, coding languages and domains
• Raise issues proactively that might impact delivery commitments
• Participate in Agile environments using Scrum software development practices, automated unit testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and version control systems (Git)
