Job summary

Google Cloud Platform seeks a Platform Customer Engineer to partner with technical Sales, act as the customer’s primary technical partner, and lead technical engagements. You will troubleshoot, demo proofs-of-concept, and architect cross-pillar cloud solutions that address business issues.

You will drive the technical win and shape delivery plans, presenting to both technical and business leaders with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.
Experience architecting, deploying, or supporting technical solutions within the financial services or banking industry (e.g., retail banking, investment banking, or capital markets).

Responsibilities

Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy, participating in planning and supporting targeted sales motions.
Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture expertise to demonstrate value across the portfolio through complex demos and workshops.
Architect cross-pillar cloud solutions, drive technical wins, and define initial delivery plans for customers; lead the technical engagement in the solution phase.
