Job summary

Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Platform Customer Engineer to partner with technical Sales, differentiate Google Cloud, and act as the customer’s primary technical partner. You will troubleshoot, demo, and architect cross-pillar cloud solutions to win new workloads and deepen existing ones.

You will drive technical wins, define delivery plans, and present practical solutions to technical and business leaders, leveraging broad cloud tech expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
• Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
• Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.
• Experience selling technical solutions in Infrastructure/Applications/Data/AI domains.
• Experience driving the full sales cycle and defining delivery plans.
• Experience building long-term technical strategies with customers.
• Experience migrating apps/services to cloud platforms.
• Security concepts knowledge (encryption, identity, access control, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy, participating in planning and supporting targeted sales motions.
• Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture to prove value of Google Cloud across the portfolio.
• Architect cross-pillar solutions, drive technical wins, and define initial delivery plans.
• Facilitate post-sales transition by supporting pricing and transitioning delivery to teams.
• Maintain awareness of progress against the delivery plan and support cross-functional teams.
