Job summary

Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Platform Customer Engineer in New York to partner with technical Sales, differentiate Google Cloud, and serve as the customer’s primary technical partner. You will lead technical conversations, troubleshoot questions, run proofs of concepts, and architect cross‑pillar cloud solutions with business impact.

You will identify and win new workloads while growing existing ones, combining sales acumen with deep technical engagement across infrastructure

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of cloud native architecture experience in a customer-facing or support role.
Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.
Experience engaging with technical stakeholders or executive leaders.

Responsibilities

Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy, supporting targeted sales motions.
Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture to prove value of Google Cloud via demos and workshops.
Architect cross-pillar solutions, drive technical wins, and define delivery plans for customers.
Support pricing activities and transition final delivery plans to implementation teams.
Maintain awareness of progress against delivery plans and assist cross-functional teams through ramp and migration phases.
