Job summary

Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Platform Customer Engineer focused on startups to partner with technical Sales teams, differentiate Google Cloud, and act as the customer’s primary technical partner. You will drive technical wins, architect cross-pillar solutions, and lead delivery planning while engaging executives and technical leaders.

The role requires deep expertise across infrastructure modernization, data analytics, and AI, with travel up to 25% and strong presentation skills.

Qualifications

Experience owning outcomes and decision making, solving ambiguous problems and influencing stakeholders.
Deep expertise in domain.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience with cloud native architecture and technology solution implementation in Gen AI and Infrastructure AI in customer-facing roles.
Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
Experience engaging with technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed.

Responsibilities

Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy, participating in planning and supporting targeted sales motions.
Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture expertise to prove value of Google Cloud Platform through demos, pilots and workshops.
Architect cross-pillar solutions, drive technical wins, and define initial delivery plans for customers.
Lead the post-sales transition by supporting pricing activities and transitioning the final delivery plan to implementation teams.
Maintain awareness of progress against the delivery plan, supporting cross-functional teams during ramp, delivery, migration or implementation phases.
