Job summary

Speechify is building a scalable backend platform in a fully distributed environment with no offices. This role focuses on designing and maintaining robust APIs, supporting payments, subscriptions, analytics, and new products, while ensuring performance and reliability across cloud deployments.

The ideal candidate will have strong TS/Node experience, cloud expertise, and practical Kubernetes/Docker knowledge, working autonomously in a fast-paced, async-friendly setting.

Qualifications

• Backend development experience with TS/Node (required).
• Cloud platform experience (GCP, AWS, Azure) or similar.
• Experience deploying containerized apps with Docker.
• Proficiency in deploying high-availability apps on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend APIs (public and internal).
• Oversee the backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on enterprise client integration and customization needs.
