Job summary

Speechify is a fully remote company with a strong commitment to asynchronous work culture. The Platform team owns the backend powering payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics for millions of users across iOS, Android, Mac, Chrome, and web.

You will design and own APIs, improve performance, and drive enterprise integrations while collaborating with product, mobile, and web teams. The role emphasizes automated, scalable backend systems, a focus on correctness, and the habit of delivering

Qualifications

Proven backend experience in TS/Node.
Direct experience with GCP; working knowledge of AWS/Azure.
Experience with containers and CI/CD is a plus.
Ability to automate and own services end-to-end.
Strong debugging and performance-tuning mindset.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and own APIs behind payments, subscriptions, auth, consumption tracking, and our public TTS API.
Improve services to be faster, cheaper, and harder to break.
Establish correctness before shipping and leave checks for ongoing correctness.
Automate repetitive parts of the role to free up time for higher-leverage work.
Turn one-off work into repeatable solutions for the team.
Design B2B and enterprise integrations built on top of Speechify.
