Job summary
Tier4 Group is seeking a Platform Operations and Tooling Engineer to advance our engineering platforms and delivery tooling. This hybrid Arlington-based role blends DevOps, platform engineering, automation, and developer enablement to improve adoption, reliability, and delivery velocity.
You will design and maintain tooling, enhance CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across teams to enable developers, improve throughput, and build scalable cloud infrastructure using IaC practices.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting modern software delivery and platform engineering environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, AWS, Terraform, Artifactory.
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.
- Experience integrating and supporting engineering platforms used by development teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and systems-thinking capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain platform tooling that improves the software development lifecycle.
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows across engineering teams.
- Collaborate with application teams to improve developer experience and platform adoption.
- Leverage IaC practices to build and manage scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Develop tooling and automation to reduce manual effort and improve platform reliability.
- Partner with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to implement best practices.
