Platform Operations and Tooling Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a Platform Operations & Tooling Engineer to help drive the adoption, reliability, and continuous improvement of our engineering platforms and delivery tooling ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of DevOps, platform engineering, automation, and developer enablement.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while also partnering with development teams to improve processes, streamline software delivery, and increase platform adoption. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to translate technical capabilities into meaningful business outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain platform tooling that improves the software development lifecycle.
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows across engineering teams.
- Collaborate with application teams to improve developer experience, platform adoption, and operational efficiency.
- Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to build and manage scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Develop tooling and automation that reduce manual effort and improve platform reliability.
- Partner with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to implement best practices and standards.
- Troubleshoot complex platform, deployment, and integration issues across multiple environments.
- Create documentation, standards, and repeatable operational processes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and champion automation-first solutions.
- Serve as a trusted technical partner who helps teams successfully utilize platform capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting modern software delivery and platform engineering environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- GitHub Actions
- AWS
- Terraform
- Artifactory
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.
- Experience integrating and supporting engineering platforms used by development teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and systems-thinking capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Experience
Experience with several of the following technologies is preferred:

Candidates do not need to be dedicated administrators of every platform. Individuals who have been sophisticated users, builders, and integrators of these technologies within enterprise environments will be considered.

Work Experience:
- 8+ years experience working in platform operations and tooling experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems Technology or 8+ years equivalent experience.
- AWS Cloud Certification, GitHub Certification, and/or related industry certification
