Plaid Inc. is hiring for a Customer Operations Engineer role focused on building and maintaining platform systems used by our support and operations teams.

You will own end-to-end platforms, drive automation across portfolios, and design AI-first workflows to streamline technical support tasks. You will improve self-serve experiences, instrument systems, and measure real-world outcomes to show measurable value.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building and maintaining software in production.
• A history of identifying manual or inefficient processes and fixing them directly.
• Experience working near technical products or customer-facing operations with a user-focused mindset.
• Ability to write SQL, instrument features, and measure impact with data.
• Skill in framing problems, writing clear plans, and explaining complex technical solutions to non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Own Platform Systems End-to-End from identification to production deployment.
• Automate actions across entire portfolios to replace manual steps.
• Build AI-first workflows to automate repetitive support tasks.
• Improve self-serve customer experiences with dashboard flows guiding users to answers.
• Measure impact by instrumenting systems, collecting metrics, and proving value.
• Create documentation, lead demos, onboard teams, and support code in production.
