Job summary

Plaid is seeking a hands-on People Operations Manager to lead onboarding, lifecycle changes, HR case management, compliance, and immigration. You’ll redesign processes for AI and automation, manage a small team, and partner across Finance, Tech Ops, and HR Business Partners to scale operations.

You will map workflows, drive data accuracy, and ensure auditability in HR systems while advancing the AI-first People strategy in a fast-paced tech company.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in People Operations, including team leadership and strategy.
• Experience implementing tools that improve efficiency (ticketing, knowledge base, automation).
• Ability to redesign processes from first principles for AI and automation, not just digitize steps.
• Direct experience with Workday and familiarity with People tech stack to configure workflows and document processes.
• Track record of cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Tech Ops, and HR Partners.
• Strong communication and judgment on sensitive employee matters.

Responsibilities

• Redesign People Operations for an AI-first model and own the multi-year strategy.
• Oversee onboarding, changes, leave, offboarding, verification, and HR case handling with automation.
• Partner with People Systems to expand AI-enabled resolutions and maintain knowledge base accuracy.
• Define team metrics and monitor self-service resolution, time to resolution, and employee satisfaction.
• Lead and develop a team of three Operations specialists, focusing on design and exception handling.
• Ensure data accuracy and auditability of HR data and processes.
