Job summary

Plaid is looking for a hands-on TechOps Engineer to own and improve infrastructure and security tooling for a thousand-person company. You will automate endpoints, manage Okta workflows, and collaborate with Security, Engineering, and People teams to scale operations as Plaid grows.

The role emphasizes infrastructure as code, automation, strong security instincts, and on-site presence three days a week in Seattle. Experience with AI tooling is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supporting a large fleet of macOS devices.
• Experience with mobile device management for Apple devices (Iru/Intune/Workspace One).
• Experience with configuration as code (Terraform).
• Experience with Bash or Python scripting.
• Experience using Claude Code, Codex, or similar tooling to improve solutions.
• Experience with Google Workspace and Slack/Linear/Jira.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve Okta configuration, including lifecycle policies, access reviews, MFA enforcement, and Workflows automation.
• Manage endpoint configuration via Iru or Kandji, with policy-as-code and versioned configurations.
• Build and maintain automation that reduces repetitive support burden.
• Evaluate, deploy, and support AI tooling to boost productivity.
• Manage SaaS procurement and renewals for the systems the team owns.
• Support company-wide SaaS platforms like Google Workspace, Linear, Slack, and Okta.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, and GTM teams on cross-team work.
• Work from the office 3 days per week.
