Job summary

enGen is seeking a visionary Principal Software Engineer to build scalable public-facing software across Digital Member Experience channels. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle from client experiences to backend services, aligning architecture with business strategy.

You will ensure PHI security, define ADRs, drive vendor migrations, mentor engineers, and present solutions to leadership. This role requires hands-on leadership in an agile team and a strong record in scalable, high-availability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• 9 years of proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable, highly available systems.
• Experience with multiple programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.) and familiarity with web technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the resolution of technical and business problems ensuring scalability, performance, security, and robustness.
• Generate and implement technical solutions to achieve product features while adhering to timelines.
• Explore new technologies to keep products cutting-edge.
• Participate in high-level development estimations to ensure roadmap targets.
• Present solutions to leadership to drive technical direction.
• Mentor and lead other software engineers as needed.
• Write architecture decision records and interface contracts.
