Job summary

enGen is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade digital applications. You will own the full SDLC, focusing on secure handling of PHI, authorization, auditing and encryption across platforms.

You will drive service topologies, lead complex vendor migrations, and present ADRs to senior leadership and security teams while mentoring other engineers and ensuring roadmap targets are met.

Qualifications

• 9 years of design and analysis of algorithms, data structures and patterns.
• Experience with REST/HTTPS/JSON web services and multi-language stacks.
• Proven track record delivering scalable, highly available systems.
• Experience migrating vendor platforms and integrating partners.
• Strong emphasis on PHI security, encryption, audit logging and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture across client, API gateway, backend and data pipelines.
• Define topologies, migrations, vendor integrations and service contracts.
• Own non-functional requirements and drive compliance and security reviews.
• Mentor engineers and present ADRs to leadership and security teams.
• Estimate work, drive roadmap execution and ensure performance.
