Job summary

enGen is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to own end-to-end software architectures for scalable, public-facing applications across Digital Member Experience channels. You will oversee architecture from client UX to API gateways, backend services, data stores, and event pipelines.

The role emphasizes secure handling of PHI, authorization, encryption, audit logging, and compliance, with collaboration across stakeholders and leadership. Strong design and leadership capabilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of technical and business problems ensuring scalability, performance, maintainability, security, and robustness.
• Generate ideas and implement technical solutions to achieve product features; monitor progress vs. plan.
• Explore new technologies and architectural concepts to keep products cutting-edge.
• Participate in high-level development estimations to support roadmap.
• Present solutions to team, management, architecture reviews, and security teams.
• Mentor and provide leadership to other engineers.
