Job summary

enGen seeks a visionary Principal Software Engineer to build scalable public-facing software across Digital Member Experience channels. Own the full SDLC, from ideation to execution, focusing on secure handling of PHI and robust architecture across client, API gateway, backend, data stores, and event pipelines.

You will define service topologies, drive vendor migrations, lead integrations, and author ADRs for leadership reviews.

Qualifications

Requires 9+ years in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and scalable systems.
Proficiency with multiple programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.) and modern frameworks.
Experience with web services, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms.
Ability to define architectures, non-functional requirements, and integration strategies.
Strong code quality, testing, and operations practices.

Responsibilities

Lead resolution of technical and business problems ensuring scalability, performance, security and robustness.
Generate, explore and implement technical solutions to meet product features and roadmaps.
Investigate new technologies and architectural concepts for cutting-edge products.
Contribute to high-level estimates to ensure roadmap targets are met.
Present solutions to teams and leadership to drive architectural decisions and security.
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
