Job summary

Kistler Instrument Corporation in Indiana is seeking a Sales Application Engineer to drive Midwest plastics vision inspection solutions. You will respond to technical and commercial inquiries, develop sales strategies with the Sales Manager, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver proposals and projects.

Ideal candidates have a engineering degree with plastics sales or process experience, strong communication, and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2–3 years plastics sales or process engineering experience.
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology plus 3 years plastics sales engineer/tech experience.
• Experience with pressure sensors, electronics, and software.
• Controls of plastics processing equipment for optimization.
• Engineering design knowledge; tool design is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for technical, price, delivery, and service information.
• Advise on application of plastics vision inspection products.
• Develop and implement a sales strategy with the Sales Manager.
• Identify OEM/plastics processors and coordinate with Sales Manager.
• Identify market requirements and liaise with experts on solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of products and applications.
• Assist in preparing special project proposals.
• Coordinate commitments with internal departments.
