Job summary

Kistler Instrument Corporation is seeking a Sales Engineer - Plastics for the Southeast, United States (remote). The role targets growth in plastics vision inspection solutions across multiple states, with travel up to 50% and a focus on OEMs and plastics processors.

The candidate should have an engineering degree (or equivalent) and 2–3 years in plastics sales or process engineering, plus strong communication and MS Office skills. Competitive benefits and a proactive sales approach are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred with 2–3 years in plastics sales or process engineering.
• A.A.S. in Engineering Technology with 3 years experience in plastics sales or process tech acceptable.
• Experience applying pressure sensors, electronics, and software to plastics applications.
• Knowledge of plastics processing controls and design is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Office.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for technical, price, delivery, and service information.
• Advise on the application of plastics vision inspection products.
• Develop and implement a sales strategy with the Sales Manager.
• Identify OEMs and plastics processors; coordinate with Sales Manager.
• Identify market requirements and consult on special solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of new and existing products and applications.
• Prepare customer price quotations and proposals.
• Assist in preparing special project proposals as required.
• Coordinate commitments with internal departments.
