Job summary

Kistler Group is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for Plastics in the Southeast. You will drive sales of plastics vision inspection products, respond to technical inquiries, and partner with the Sales Manager to expand OEM and plastics processing customer base in the Southeast region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline plus 2–3 years plastics sales or process engineer experience.
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology plus 3 years plastics sales engineer or process technician experience.
• Experience applying pressure sensors, electronics, and software.
• Controls of plastics processing equipment to measure, evaluate and control machine function.
• Engineering design knowledge; tool design a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for technical, price, delivery, and service information.
• Provide advice on the proper application of plastics vision inspection products.
• Develop and implement a sales strategy with the Sales Manager.
• Identify and penetrate OEM and plastics processing companies and coordinate with the Sales Manager.
• Identify market requirements and consult on special solutions with the team.
• Maintain knowledge of new and existing products and applications.
• Assist in preparing special project proposals as required.
• Coordinate commitments with affected internal departments.
