Job summary

Piedmont Plastics is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to promote and sell products in-person to business and industrial customers within the Chattanooga market. This role emphasizes developing new accounts and supporting existing customers through daily opportunities, with travel as needed.

You will build relationships, stay current on product knowledge in the plastics industry, and collaborate with the sales team to meet or exceed goals in a growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of outside sales experience in plastics, industrial distribution or graphics-related sales.
• A personal vehicle in good condition.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel almost exclusively with some overnight travel.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Develop new accounts through prospecting, networking, cold calling and referrals.
• Provide sales support to existing accounts, work and close daily opportunities, expanding the customer base.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Communicate daily with sales team/management on the status of orders and customer concerns.
• Maintain and enhance product and technical knowledge in the plastics industry.
• Follow-up on leads and application opportunities.
• Contribute to the team effort.
