Job summary

Piedmont Plastics is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for our Elkridge, MD location. The role focuses on promoting and selling products in-person to business and industrial customers within the Baltimore/Washington market.

You will develop new accounts, support existing ones, and travel as needed to grow the customer base. A personal vehicle and proactive sales mindset are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of outside sales experience in plastics, industrial distribution, or related fields.
• Personal vehicle in good condition.
• Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips.
• Basic computer skills for order processing and communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop new accounts through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and referrals.
• Provide sales support to existing accounts and close daily opportunities.
• Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Communicate daily with sales team and management on order status and customer concerns.
• Maintain and enhance product and technical knowledge in plastics industry.
• Follow-up on leads and application opportunities.
• Contribute to the team effort and meet or exceed sales targets.
