Job summary

Piedmont Plastics in Greensboro, NC is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to develop new accounts and provide support to existing customers. The role requires regional travel, networking, and referrals to grow the customer base while coordinating daily order updates with the sales team.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of outside sales experience in plastics, industrial distribution or graphics-related sales with a track record of exceeding sales goals.
• A personal vehicle in good condition.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to travel almost exclusively with some overnight travel.
• Positive attitude and team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop new accounts through prospecting, networking, cold calling and referrals.
• Provide sales support to existing accounts, work and close daily opportunities, expanding the customer base.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Communicate daily with sales team/management on order status and customer concerns.
• Maintain and enhance product and technical knowledge in the plastics industry.
• Follow-up on leads and application opportunities.
• Contribute to the team effort.
