Job summary

Piedmont Plastics is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for the Chattanooga market. The role focuses on promoting and selling plastics products and services primarily in-person to business and industrial establishments within the market.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of outside sales experience in plastics or related fields, a reliable vehicle, basic computer skills, and a willingness to travel with some overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years outside sales experience in plastics, industrial distribution, or graphics-related sales with a track record of exceeding goals.
• Owns a personal vehicle in good condition.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willing to travel almost exclusively with some overnight travel.
• Positive attitude and team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop new accounts through prospecting, networking, cold calling and referrals.
• Provide sales support to existing accounts, work and close daily opportunities, expanding the customer base.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Communicate daily with sales team/management on the status of orders and customer concerns.
• Maintain and enhance product and technical knowledge in the plastics industry.
• Follow-up on leads and application opportunities.
• Contribute to the team effort.
