Job summary

Piedmont Plastics is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for our Elkridge branch to promote and sell products and services primarily in-person to business and industrial establishments within the Baltimore/Washington market.

The ideal candidate will develop new accounts, strengthen relationships, and collaborate with the sales team to close opportunities while traveling as needed. Piedmont offers industry-leading wages with monthly commissions and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of outside sales experience in plastics, industrial distribution or graphics-related sales.
• Own a personal vehicle in good condition.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness and desire to travel almost exclusively with some overnight travel.
• Positive attitude and team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop new accounts through prospecting, networking, cold calling and referrals.
• Provide sales support to existing accounts, close daily opportunities, expand the customer base.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Communicate daily with sales team/management on orders and customer concerns.
• Maintain and enhance product and technical knowledge in the plastics industry.
• Follow-up on leads and application opportunities.
• Contribute to the team effort.
