Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is hiring a Medical Assistant for a day shift in a fast-paced plastic surgery specialty setting. You will prepare patients, escort to treatment rooms, obtain pertinent information, and document in charts. You will handle patient calls, organize duties, and scrib e between patient and physician to ensure accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least six months of related work experience required.
• Associate degree in Medical Assistance preferred; National Certification as a Medical Assistant a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow in the office and assist front desk to ensure timely appointments.
• Obtain patient history and document in the medical record; serve as a scrib e between patient and physician.
• Triage calls for labs, prescriptions, and other clinical matters per physician pathways.
• Maintain patient files per HIPAA/JCAHO regulations and assist with forms and insurance documents.
