Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Medical Assistant to prepare patients for visits, escort them to treatment rooms, collect pertinent medical information, and document in the chart. This role supports an outpatient Surgery specialty office.

You will prepare exam rooms, record history and vitals, and ensure smooth patient flow within the office. In addition to clinical duties, you will assist front office staff with calls, scheduling, and coordinating patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• National Certification as Medical Assistant a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms; prepares patients for examination and treatment.
• Obtains pertinent history and documents vitals in the medical record.
• Files lab/diagnostic results and clinical notes after physician review.
• Coordinates patient flow and collaborates with front desk for timely visits.
• Assists front office by answering calls, scheduling appointments, and other tasks.
