Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an APP/PA in the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The role covers ambulatory and inpatient care, including first assist in the operating room and postoperative follow-up.

The position requires a Master’s in Nursing with ANCC certification or PA credentials, GA licensure, and BLS. You will manage weekly clinics, review histories, and coordinate preoperative education with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing with ANCC certification or equivalent.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse in GA or certified PA with GA licensure.
• Current BLS certification and credentialing on file.
• PA role requires NCCPA certification and GA board licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
• Manage weekly clinic as a stand-alone provider.
• Examine patients and determine the need for surgery.
• Review medical history and plan procedures with physician lead.
• Obtain informed consent and coordinate preoperative education.
• Perform postoperative visits for select patients.
• Assist in operating room as first assist when needed.
• Support Plastics clinic activities and provide educational materials.
