Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery seeks a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to expand clinical, educational, and research programs, focusing on reconstructive microsurgery.

Strong candidates will cover hand and face trauma calls, contribute to our integrated residency and research efforts, and participate in breast reconstruction and transgender/aesthetic services across affiliated sites.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent)
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide microsurgical reconstruction including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction
• Take independent hand and face trauma call
• Contribute to clinical care, teaching, and research within the integrated residency program
• Collaborate across Albany Med Health System and affiliated sites (including VA Medical Center)
