Job summary

The Maintenance Technician role focuses on monitoring and maintaining manufacturing equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring safety and compliance in a high-volume environment at our Columbus, NE site.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, some experience with plastics injection molding, and strong aptitudes in reading manuals and basic math.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in plastics injection molding preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains equipment used in manufacturing process.
• Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment as required.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintains productivity in accordance with plant goals.
• Monitors own work area to ensure that it remains free of obstructions and other hazards.
• Completes any necessary paperwork.
• Complies with good manufacturing practices and all other FDA regulations.
• Wears protective clothing as required.
• Works in a safe manner.
• Follows standard operating procedures.
• Completes all required training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
