Job summary

BD in Columbus, Nebraska (USA) is seeking a manufacturing technician to monitor and maintain equipment used in the production process and perform preventative maintenance. The role requires a high school diploma and experience in plastics injection molding, with reading of safety rules and manuals and basic math and computer skills.

Daily responsibilities include following GMP/FDA regulations, keeping work areas safe and organized, and completing required training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in plastics injection molding preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills.
• Reasoning Ability: Good reasoning ability to solve problems.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains equipment used in manufacturing process.
• Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment as required.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintains productivity in accordance with plant goals.
• Monitors own work area to ensure that it remains free of obstructions and other hazards.
• Completes any necessary paperwork.
• Complies with good manufacturing practices and all other FDA regulations.
• Wears protective clothing as required.
• Works in a safe manner.
• Follows standard operating procedures.
• Completes all required training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
