Job summary

CSL's plasma center in Portage, MI is seeking a Plasma Center Technician responsible for sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and follow SOPs to maintain product quality.

The role requires strict adherence to safety and quality procedures, sterile sampling, accurate labeling, routine equipment calibration, and documentation in the donor information system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are stored correctly according to SOPs.
• Verify labeling accuracy by matching pre-printed labels to dynamic labels.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and seal for sterility and quality per SOPs.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation.
• Monitor temperatures of freezers and refrigerators and report issues.
• Calibrate equipment daily as per SOPs.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain clean work environment and comply with HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and may require bilingual skills.
