Job summary

CSL Vifor in Town of Greece, NY, is seeking a plasma processing associate to support sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma. You will follow SOPs, maintain sterility with heat sealing, and ensure proper labeling, storage, and documentation for safe product handling.

The role requires basic math, fast-paced adaptation, and potential cross-training. Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least a few months in a laboratory or warehouse environment, with overtime

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Store plasma units according to SOPs and handle unsuitable plasma as needed.
• Verify that pre-printed labels match dynamic labels for accurate unit labeling.
• Use sterile technique and heat sealer to maintain sterility and quality of plasma unit samples.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as required by SOPs.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report any equipment variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily as per SOPs.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow policies related to hyperimmune programs where applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure required supplies are available.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet center needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organizational discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
