Job summary

CSL is seeking a Plasma Center Technician in the United States, focusing on accurate sampling, testing, shipping, and storage of donor plasma. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and work under SOPs to maintain product quality.

Responsibilities include sterile sampling, labeling checks, temperature monitoring, equipment calibration, and data entry in the electronic donor system. The role may require cross-training, bilingual skills, and overtime to meet center needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are stored according to SOPs.
• Verify labeling accuracy by matching pre-printed label with dynamic label.
• Utilize sterile technique to draw samples and use heat sealer to assure sterility and quality of plasma unit samples per SOPs.
• May pack and ship samples and units and prepare shipping and disposal documentation.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report variances.
• Conduct daily calibration of equipment according to SOPs.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow policies for hyper immune programs if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies and forms are available; adhere to HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
