Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• For Centers located in CA, certification as Phlebotomy Technician I or RN license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma from donors via venipuncture and monitor pheresis process.
• Set up donor, monitor during procedure and disconnect donor per SOPs.
• Perform venipuncture and begin pheresis following FDA guidelines.
• Assess donor vein performance and adjust to optimize donation time and safety.
• Educate new donors about plasma products, screening, tests, and policies.
• Monitor for donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents with PDA, including alarms and adverse events.
• Calibrate equipment and respond to maintenance as required by SOPs.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and document incidents.
• Maintain donor flow on the floor to ensure turnover; escalate flow issues.
• Collect arm samples or whole blood for testing as required.
• Accurately record donor data in the electronic donor information system.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May cross-train in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization's discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
