Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Elkhart, IN is seeking a donor screener/phlebotomy professional to support plasma center operations. You will greet donors, screen new and repeat donors, take vital signs, and record results while reporting to the Center Manager.

You will use the Donor Information System, maintain donor charts, coordinate compensation, and help identify process improvements. Expect a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a strong focus on safety and customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear due to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1 or more years minimum experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and answer phones while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors; record vital signs and fingerstick results.
• Use the Donor Information System; prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and initiate changes to center procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
