BioLife Plasma Services in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to screen donors, perform venipuncture, and operate plasmapheresis equipment to support plasma center operations.

You will greet donors, monitor during donation, record vital signs, and help with equipment setup and troubleshooting while ensuring safety and compliance. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for an entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
• Combination of customer service and accuracy in donor interactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture of donors and programming of plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage donor reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment within training scope.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal of materials.
• Record donor measurements (pulse, BP, temp) and input into DIS.
• Enter donor information into the DIS accurately.
• Coordinate donor flow to the donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying operational improvements (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen).
