Job summary

BioLife is hiring for a part-time plasma donor screener in Chesapeake, VA. You will perform phlebotomy support, screen donors, and maintain accurate donor records while delivering compassionate customer service.

The role requires standing, willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and lifting up to 50 lbs on rare occasions. Training is paid, and a comprehensive benefits program is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand/walk for the shift and work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Minimum one year in a customer- or patient-facing role is helpful.
• Prolonged glove wear due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and ensure safety of donors and staff.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record vital signs and finger sticks.
• Prepare donor charts and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities to improve center processes using approved procedures.
• Work varied shifts including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
