Job summary

CSL plasma center in Smyrna, GA is seeking qualified healthcare professionals to oversee donor screening, immunizations, and emergency response. You will work closely with the Center Medical Director to ensure donor safety and regulatory compliance.

The role involves interviewing donors, performing medical history reviews, responding to reactive test results, and maintaining accurate donor records while adhering to SOPs and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure from paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, naturopathic training, or medical school.
• Foreign medical degree acceptable if currently licensed or EMT certified.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience or clinical training from nursing/vocational program.
• Experience in plasma or blood collection center preferred.
• Ability to perform physical assessment of heart and lungs and related signs.
• Ability to educate donors and staff about plasma donation benefits.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Administer approved immunizations and provide limited emergency medical care.
• Promote positive donor relations and conduct confidential donor interviews.
• Consult with Center Medical Director or Center Physician on medical questions.
• Review donor test results and determine continued donor suitability.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic management system.
• Maintain safety, supplies, and comply with HSE/OSHA policies.
